Culinary Tea More Than 150 Recipes Steeped in Tea from Around the World. Cynthia Gold and Lisë Stern. Published by Running Press, Philadelphia and London, 2010.
For holiday indulgence in exciting and unusual flavors, my first choice (see number two choice, here) for delightful recipes is this tea cookbook and its recipes, Culinary Tea by Cynthia Gold and Lisë Stern.
First, with this tea cookbook you get to experience ideas about taste that may be new to your palate, yet use ingredients commonly found in your kitchen, albeit a sophisticated one! Consider the marriage of chocolate and tea, or liquor and tea, for example.
And secondly, these are recipes for pleasurable delicacies from uncomplicated instructions. Create a Tea Roasted Tofu or Vegetable Tart. Everything is written out and flows easily from start to finish. Consider the usefulness of a vinaigrette, and how adding Darjeeling tea leaves to the vinegar in a recipe will create a sensational dressing. Or another, like Green-Tea-Lemon Basil Dressing, will play a star role in your holiday repast. With New Year’s occurring one week following Christmas, you could get ready now to create a Mango Peach Oolong Granita or Masala Chai.
