Make Your Own Foot Scrub!
Ingredients for ¼ cup scrub:
1 tablespoon Coconut oil
2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO or other oil or oil blend)
3 tablespoons Coconut Sugar* (or your choice of Brown Sugar, etc.)
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon raw honey
1/4 teaspoon liquid Castile Soap
Optional: 1-3 tablespoons ground spice seeds (see below) and/or Essential oil
*My Foot Scrub is a dark color due to the type of sugar I used. If you desire a light color, use light brown sugar or turbinado sugar for your foot scrub recipe.
Equipment:
heavy-bottomed saucepan
stainless-steel spoon
small glass jar with tight-fitting lid (1/4 cu or 2 ounce sizes are fine)
measuring spoons (1 tablespoon, ¼ teaspoon, ½ teaspoon)
Method:
1. Measure out the sugar and place it in a small bowl.
2. Measure out ¼ teaspoon honey and ½ teaspoon castile soap.
Add the honey and castile soap to the sugar and mix everything together to incorporate. Mixture will be clumpy. Set it aside.
3. Measure out the coconut oil and place it in the heavy-bottomed pan and melt on low-medium heat. Add the EVOO (or other oil, oil blend). Stir together and watch so you do not burn these oils!
Once the oils are melted together and appear uniform in color, remove from heat.
4. Allow the oils to cool at least 10 minutes. Don’t let them get solid!
5. Once cooled a bit, pour the melted oils into the sugar mixture and stir.
6. If using, measure out and add ground spice seeds. Stir into the mixture. There should be some oil remaining at the edges of the slurry. If not, add EVOO or other oil(s) tablespoon by tablespoon to get the consistency you like. Be aware that the scrub soaks up oil and solidifies easily!
7. Scrape into your glass jar and place the lid on tightly.
Your Foot Scrub is now ready to use!

Ground spice seeds
A super way to add even more scrubbing action to your foot scrub is to use ground seeds from spices. The vitality of spices give your skin glow! Ground spices add a unique and spicy aroma to the scrub. They’ll soften a bit in the mixture.
Ideas for Ground Spices: Any seeds such as coriander, cumin, fennel seed, mustard seed, or dried ginger root and citrus peel. Grind them lightly together and keep the texture chunky.
